Designed for the life you're building.
Bring together your budgets, debt, accounts, investments, properties, and net worth in one secure place. Copivia helps you organize your financial life, make confident decisions, and build lasting wealth while keeping your financial data stored locally on your device.
Local-first by design. Copivia stores your financial dashboard data on your device while securely connecting to third-party services such as Plaid only when you choose to link accounts.
What it is
One place for your whole financial picture
Copivia brings your bank, credit card, brokerage, and loan accounts into a single desktop dashboard — daily check-ins, budgets, goals, debt payoff plans, and investment tracking, all built around data that lives on your computer instead of someone else's server.
Features
Built for how people actually manage money
Every screen in the app is designed around a single, connected picture of your finances.
Net worth & daily check-in
A single number that tracks everything you own and owe, updated as accounts sync, with a fast daily check-in view.
Budgets & bills
Track recurring bills and subscriptions alongside category budgets, so nothing recurring catches you off guard.
Debt payoff planning
Model payoff timelines across cards and loans, and see the effect of extra payments before you make them.
Investments
Pull in brokerage holdings and securities from linked accounts to see how investments fit into your overall net worth.
Couples mode
Track finances by owner — person one, person two, or joint — while still seeing the combined household view.
Goals & planning
Set savings and payoff goals, and let the planner show a realistic path to reaching them based on real account data.
Architecture
Local-first, by design
Copivia runs as a native Windows desktop application. Your account data, budgets, goals, and synced transactions are stored in a local database on your own computer — not on a server we operate.
- No cloud sync today. There is currently no server-side copy of your financial data — it exists only on the device where the app is installed.
- No account required. The app doesn't ask you to sign up or log in to use its core features.
- Cloud sync is on the roadmap — as an opt-in feature, with a security review and clear disclosure before it ever touches your data.
Connecting accounts
Bank connections through Plaid
Linking an account happens through Plaid, not through us. You authenticate directly with your bank or with Plaid — Copivia never sees or stores your online banking username or password.
- Accounts, balances, and transactions sync into the app once a connection is authorized.
- Investments and liabilities are pulled in where your institution supports it.
- Disconnect anytime. Removing an institution revokes Plaid's access and deletes the stored token.
Security
Security overview
A short summary of how data is protected today — the full detail lives in our Information Security Policy.
Encrypted access tokens
Plaid access tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM before being stored locally, using a per-device key.
Least-privilege by default
The app installs and runs without administrator rights, and its local backend is only reachable from your own device.
Honest about limits
We don't claim SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, or GDPR compliance. Our security policy says plainly what's implemented and what's still a roadmap item.
Documentation
Legal & security documents
Straightforward, current documents — no vague boilerplate, no claims we can't back up.
